Does Phillip dream of “electric creep”:
Investment in gadgets, the benefit so deep,
that the casual observer would not have a clue,
what the shiny new gizmo purports to do.
One to make coffee,
one to make bread,
one to make phone calls and massage your head.
One for the bathroom,
one for the loo,
morality prevents me to say what they do.
He wants it, he needs it,
you’d never know why.
It’s probably better not even to try.
The many machines that quicken the pace,
that enrich his world,
put a smile on his face.
How does he rest?
How does he sleep?
In order to dream of “electric creep”.
